Purpose: The charts above are used to help identify the PVC fitting size needed for an insulated pipe.
Directions: PVC sizes are different depending on the type of pipe you are insulating. If you are insulating an Iron pipe use the top chart, use the bottom chart for Copper pipe (if you already converted your copper pipe size to the correct iron pipe size, use the iron pipe size and the top chart). The column on the left is the size of the pipe and the top row is the thickness of the insulation on the pipe.
Example: If you are insulating a 3" Iron pipe with 1" fiberglass pipe insulation you would use a #13 PVC Fitting. If you are insulating a 3" Iron pipe but with 1.5" fiberglass pipe insulation you would use a #15 PVC Fitting.
